Tobias, a skilled forester and arborist, studied Bioinformatics (B.Sc.) and Forestinformationtechnology (M.Sc.). He works for more than a year at PIK, following his internship, as a scientist for research software development and climate change topics, namely in backend development, climate hazard modeling, evaluating hazard impacts on the agriculture and forestry sector, and assessing deforestation impacts. His expertise is data and software project management, climate and biomass production data analysis, and spatial analysis of forest ecosystems through remote sensing.

Prajal studied agricultural engineering and environmental management. He was a lead author of the IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Land and a contributing author of the AR6 IPCC WG III Report and the AR6 IPCC WG II Report. He is an expert in food system emissions, food security, climate change, and sustainable development goals (SDGs). His current research focuses on understanding urban transformations, investigating impacts of climate change on bioeconomy, and identifying interlinkages between bioeconomy and SDGs.

Sebastian is Research Group Leader at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) and a Fellow of the Institut für Höhere Studien (IHS). His portfolio of interests is broad and includes new approaches to economic forecasting, the impact of climate change on socio-economic systems, systemic risk of various complex systems and financial regulation. Sebastian leads WP 3 where the agent based model for the Austrian bioeconomy will be developed.

Alfredo is Associate Professor at the University of Seville (Spain) and has been previously researcher at European Commission Joint Research Centre, and associate professor at University of Zaragoza and Pablo de Olavide. His scientific background is broadly focused on economic analysis through the use and implementation of multi-sectorial models (Input-Output models and Social Accounting Matrices), supplemented by the use of statistical and econometric analysis and other related tools. Alfredo applies his expertise in work package 2, where he develops a time-series of multiregional supply use tables to analyse climate shocks in the EU bioeconomy.

Liesbeth is co-ordinator of the project and works on the regionalization and integration of the different databases in work package 2 and 3. Liesbeth is a PhD student on sustainable bioeconomy transitions at WU Vienna and works as an associated researcher with the Institute for Ecological Economics (WU) and the Urban Economics Group of Wageningen University.

Irene is Assistant Professor Assistant Professor in Climate Economics and Finance. coordinates the focus group results with the agent based modeling approach in work package 4.

Anne studied sustainability management (M.Sc.) and environmental management and energy economics (B.Sc.). In 2019, she began working as a scientist for sustainable development at PIK. Her work focuses on analyzing the interactions among the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their linkages to other topics such as inequalities, cities, and food security, among others. She is currently identifying the interactions between the SDGs and the bioeconomy in Europe in the BIOCLIMAPATH project.
